Full Itinerary

Day 1 — Rongai Gate → Simba CampBegin on the northern flank with gentle terrain; camp at Simba Camp among woodland and open plains.

Day 2 — Simba → Kikelewa CampAscend across upland plateau into moorland, reaching Kikelewa with expansive mountain views.

Day 3 — Kikelewa → Mawenzi TarnCross varied mountain terrain to Mawenzi Tarn; scenic walking and gradual altitude gain.

Day 4 — Mawenzi Tarn → Moshi CampDescend or transfer toward lower camps near Moshi to consolidate before higher ascent stages.

Day 5 — Moshi Camp → Kibo HutMove toward the alpine desert and reach Kibo Hut to rest and prepare for the summit night.

Day 6 — Kibo Hut → Summit → Horombo HutSummit night to Uhuru Peak, then descend past Kibo to Horombo Hut for recovery.

Day 7 — Horombo Hut → GateFinal descent from Horombo to the gate; transfers onward to Moshi/Arusha.
